The ball is now rolling on Grey Arrows Drone Club hi-viz vests.

Please allow a week or two for them to be printed, delivered to us, added to our shop and made ready to go!

Where does the QR code link to guys?

Sorry, there is no QR code, simply not enough room with everything else on there and the limited print area due to all the reflective stripes.

I’ve got this mental picture of me, kitted up with one of these, practicing night flying over the rec, pitch black with the Strobon flashing away and catching the reflective strips, but noting else. That’d freak the stoners out!

I do hope you’ll be wearing other clothing, it’s a little chilly at this time of year for wearing only an hi viz vest.

My eyes, my beautiful eyes!!!.

Yes, in this mental vision I’m fully dressed and it’s a warm summer night. Not that there’d be anything of much interest to see if t’were otherwise, one thinks of prawna, and not even king prawns at that. Only the Strobon would be flashing, not The Johnster…

That side of my life finished when I had radiotherapy treatment for prostate cancer a few years back. All clear now but the radiation destroyed any hope of activity south of the equator. I have some lovely memories, though!

Would GREYARRO.WS be recognised as a website by the general public without the WWW.?

When I wear hi viz I hang it on the back of my wheelchair so anything on the front (actually the whole of the front) is unseen.

For me GREYARROW.WS just doesn’t look right and I know what it means. I just asked my wife what she thought it meant and she said is it the Grey Arrows from West Scotland :joy:

Agreed, there’s very little prospect in my mind of someone loading up greyarro.ws even if they actually manage to clock what it really is.

CAA registered operator of what? We know, but it’s meaningless to Joe Public!

Perhaps smaller lettering would allow ‘CAA REGISTERED DRONE OPERATOR’, smaller still for the website in full in one line, and DO NOT DISTURB as it is.

Thank you for the input on the wording.

The picture I shared, was just an edited stock photo from ama-zon.

The club committee will / may decide on actual wording.

I still think we should have one with:
“Fuck Off, and leave me alone!”
printed on the back

HMMM so this gave me an idea we have a club shop so what about adding text and logos (CAA etc) to already existing products that are available I am sure they offer a hi viz hoody t shirt? you could add Do Not Disturb on it?

With matching shorts?
