On older devices, Micro USB was the standard, following on from mini USB
Connection issues were always the problem especially force damaging the female plug
Thankfully USB C was the answer and is now the standard on all new devices
Including the nice Apple stuff.

The early DJI remote controls weren’t even a standard, D shaped, micro USB, they were a rectangular one that increased the chance of it being inserted the wrong way around.
The DJI used the Micro A, rather than the ubiquitous Micro B

Never really found a problem over the almost 8 years I’ve had the MP.
Never used a Micro A plug for charging. The correct way around the Micro B works fine in the Micro A socket.
