What’s the best option for sharing 360 photos and videos?
Are there any good hobbyist ones that have unlimited storage but without the commercial business prices?
Having tried most of them, no there isn’t
Youtube for the videos (only proper free option)
NeoVR but dodgy pricing if you get too many views on your videos
Kuula, very popular but pricey if you want all the features
Panoee I have been a fan of since they started, and their new live sharing platform (still in beta) looks promising
Lots of discussion already on all the above (even more so recently with the 360 release)
I find Panoee the most user friendly, for sharing 360 images in forums.
Not tried sharing a 360 video as yet
Look into “wesendit” it’s a Swiss based company that many Professional & Amateur Photographers use to send Files around our planet.
They offer a free service of 3/4 a day and in your case sending 360 might draw a cost but check it out.
I think @Darren_Rockach was more looking for a hosting service (viewing not sharing), I don’t believe that WSI do this.
If you need “free” 360 pano hosting there’s the option to host it yourself on Immich (which maybe an excuse to pull that Raspberry Pi out of the back of that drawer?). It isn’t perfect, as Immich displays a fairly low resolution copy of your file, and the viewer has to zoom fully in, pause until the high res version loads, then zoom back out to get the full glory. Hopefully they’ll fix that soon.
Also, I don’t think you’ll get a proper preview on the forum here, so not much use for showing off your shots on Grey Arrows.

For images it might also depend on why you want to share them, if it is just to share with friends or others for the sake of it, then actually Facebook is pretty good for a simple straightforward way of sharing. You could self host. I’ve started using Marzipano and self hosting, after trying several of the regulars like kuula, panoee and momento and deciding I didn’t want to be sucked paying. Not sure if I can include a link or not but I’ll try, if it works this one I’ve just recently done.

I’m not sure about that. Marzipano creates a standalone package of files and you can then host them whereever I guess. I host them on my own webspace and then link to that package.
(oh, and I forgot but I think google photos also allows the display and sharing of 360s, again with limited options)

I started with panoee and I did like it but then they put watermarks behind a paywall which was when I went to Marzipano

Sadly the open source Google Marzipano project seems to have been abandoned back in 2021

Ah, that is not good news to hear, I didn’t know that. Thanks for pointing that out. I don’t know of any forks but would love to hear if anyone does.
