Remove tight lens ring from MAVIC AIR

Hi all,
The lens ring that I need to remove from the camera in order to fit nd filters is VERY tight and I can’t budge it. I am petrified of damaging the gimbal but need to loosen it so I can fit the filters.

Any bright ideas about how to get it off without damage are very much welcomed

Usually, if you can wrap a small elastic band near the top, as near to the end as you can get it.
should give you the grip to unscrew it, but, don’t pinch it to hard.
Make sure you hold the gimbal, to prevent it moving around.

I had tried the rubber band technique already but it still would not turn.
Went for the desperation measure and tried rubber band and pliers !! That did the trick… WHEW!!!

EEK indeed. It worked though without damage or any marks to the ring thanks to the rubber band.

Just had to deal with the same problem myself. Having had a tip from YouTube comment, I used a latex glove which worked a treat - just need to make sure your keep hold of the gimble!
