RTF Drone Photo Challenge May 24th to June 6th - Boats with Engines and / or Follys - Winners Announced

What does a single frame from a video look like? Unless you look at the EXIF data (if available) it looks just like a still image.

It’s not us who judge this challenge but your fellow competitors. If you think they would be happy with a single frame image then by all means post one!

After all, they do like HDR images which are three or more images stitched together!

Stenson Marina was opened in 1974. Positioned just off the Trent and Mersey canal. The marina offers 80 berths for canal boats and cruisers. There’s a boat yard there offering repairs and maintenance and a boatbuilding manufacturer onsite. Nearby there is the Stenson Lock cafe and the Stenson Bubble, a local pub/ restaurant/ hotel, which won an award in the Channel 4 series 4 in a Bed some years ago.

Time to pick up to three of your favourite images. The poll closes at 22:00 on Monday, June 8th.

@group-challenges

This week’s winners, in the traditional reverse order, are:

In third place, newcomer to the challenge (we think), Shane @Rustyo200le with a tranquil scene on the Oxford Canal near Bicester

Second is claimed by @uav_hampshire with a picture of Dunkirk “Little Ship” Llanthony off Cowes

Which means we can congratulate our winner Scott with an overhead of the narrow obats in the Saul Junction Marina at Frampton-on-Severn

In fact, congratulations are due to the three noted above and to all who entered. Sorry, Follys didn’t get a look in!

The current challenge is Contrasts in Nature and can be found here

Thank you to everyone who voted and congratulations to everyone who took part; we’re all winners if we’re out there doing something we love.

I may be misreading the results, but there seem to be 3 entries with 36% of the vote. So should there be 3 third places?

I have no personal interest as none are mine, as I did not enter. I hope to do the next challenge.

Peter

Thanks Peter, you are right.

No excuse, just that I seem to be making far too many mistakes as time progresses.

So well done @Maz for your Cally Mac ferry approaching Ardrossan:

The ship is not without its problems:

Regarding the third third place - we don’t acknowledge @macspite in here (for obvious reasons!)
