Flying saucer
First time entering, should I have done a shot from above so it is a circle on the pic and not the object is a circle?
I went off the cover photo and they are not circles as they are elliptical.
Looks perfectly fine as an entry to me
The RTF competitions are judged by a public vote, so the ârulesâ for entries arenât quite as tight as they are for something like the annual Birthday Challenge (which is judged by the nefarious @Challenges_Committee).
A previous theme was âWrecked Boatsâ and featured a number of âWrecked Shipsâ (ex-navy pedant here), and even within this round the theme is âCirclesâ and a number of entries (mine included) only feature a singular circle.
In short, youâll probably be fine
As Martin @MartG1960 and Andy @rustybarnet say, this is a relaxed competition where the judges are fellow GADC members and not the heartless swine from the @Challenges_Committee.
We got the reputation of being strict from judging the annual Birthday Challenge and Treasure Hunt where money was involved which tends to put a sharper edge on anything. In reality we are pussycats!
Time to tick the squares to vote for the circles
You can choose up to three images. The poll closes at 22:00 on Monday 28th April.
Thank you all for voting and congratulations to our winners; this time there is a tie for second place between two coastal subjects. Phil -@Seadog - gave us Blackpoolâs Victorian Central Pier at dusk with the Ferris Wheel added to it 120 years later.
Andy - @rustybarnet - chose to fly out to one of the four Victorian sea forts that, along with the forts along Portsdown Hill and the Gosport and Portsea forts, formed the defences of Portsmouth and the naval base against a potential French invasion. Spitbank Fort is just one of âPalmerstonâs Folliesâ in the area:
Our winner for this round is Richard - @Kirky - who has transformed the Thames Water Sewage Treatment Works at Reading into an eight-deck DJ setup
Congratulations to all three of you, thank you to everyone who took part and to those who voted. The next subject is already live - Derelict can be found here
A good crop of entries and congratulations @Kirky for the winning image
Thanks @rustybarnet Andy & thank you for the votes everyone.
