I haven’t got a chance in hell with this one,
I’ve even thrown my wrecked boating shoes in the bin !

I have a couple for this one but no time to fly until later in the week, I reckon someone might swoop in and get at least one of them.

Figured I’d best get this one done early lest somebody moan about all the entries coming in a flood in the last few hours …

I don’t even get a couple of day’s rest at the beginning of the challenge now …

THIS IS MY ENTRY
Fleetwood Jubilee Pier
17 March, 10:41

Wrecked fishing boats, taken from Jubilee pier. Sad to see boats that have worked hard serving their skippers & crew in such a state. But since collapse of Fleetwoods fishing industry too expensive to maintain.

Birkenhead docks.

Sunk on moorings 2016, several fundraisers and projects to refloat and repair but too far gone by 2020. People in the know say it wont ever refloat and will get scrapped by a digger bucket as its too soft to do anything else with.

I chickened out and did the easy one in the area. The wreck around the corner near the hydraulic tower was my original plan but too difficult to make look half decent on the day. Can sometimes get a nice reflection if the water is dead still.

The King’s old ship that one.

Used to be. Shame he was too busy to do anything about it.

Totally understand about whistling (it would make a right mess!), but what about humming?

In a great location on the sile of Anglesey there is the wreck that is the Manx Rose. Found in Dulas bay.

Lovely morning it was, amazing sunrise. The only downside was slipping down the slipway arse over tit . But as always there’s a funny side to it.

The Old Boat of Caol aka The Corpach Shipwreck is a former fishing boat which sits on the shore of Loch Linnhe at Corpach in the shadow of Ben Nevis.

Oh and if this looks shit it’s because I’m sitting editing it in a hotel bedroom on an old laptop! :joy:

Lovely composition.

'kinell, John! Way to give us all a complex about our own editing skills!

“Oh, this thing? Just knocked it out on an old laptop with a dodgy trackpad, sitting cross-legged on a hotel bed. What’s that? The one you spent the whole day editing? Yeah, that’s pretty good too.”

This was taken 2.55 pm on 27 March 2025
It was taken at Motnay Hill in the Rainham Marshes about 300 metres from the south bank of the River Medway.

This is the wreck of the Aberdeen, according to Google. It has been there many decades.
In the sixties it was apparently used by hippies to hold parties.
I assume back then it had a deck, etc.

Not an entry. I was hoping to visit today but it’s either pished down or been too windy :smiling_face_with_tear:
So here is a pic of what would have been my entry, taken a couple years ago.

If its still there. Might have rotted away by now.

mostly fibreglass, wooden gunwales and thwarts. Pretty sure it will still be there unless the land owner has had it removed? But that would cost money, so I doubt it.

Looking at the picture I don’t even think the gunwales are wood either!
