Its true that everyday is a school day…
I’ve used active track a fair few times during flying, spotlight not so much admittedly but I think I will after seeing this…
I never knew you could fly with it.

Very cool indeed. I need to practice a little now. Thank you for sharing.
Quite a cool trick isn’t it, I obviously don’t use things like this and do everything manually
but its good to know
Me too
.
I fly most of my videos like this and have done ever since getting my MA2. I thought it was common knowledge lol it’s an amazing way too get super smooth shots and also as another tip quick pressing the return to home key on the controller will quickly cancel the active track mid flight so that you don’t have to stop the craft to transition into a different shot and moving away from the original point of interest. It’s a very powerful tool in getting super smooth cinematic footage with ease
Wow, very cool tip. I’m going to try that on my next flight with my Mavic 2 Zoom. Can’t believe how smooth those shots were. Thanks so much for sharing that.

No problem, I’m actually looking forward to my next flight with the 2 pro and trying this out.
I think you’ll end up using it way more its soooooo smooth also if you fly right over the top of the locked target with a little left or right roll it gives you a really smooth spin shot, I used it in my Stafford Castle video
Nice, just watched the spin shot. Super smooth.
Me too, been having so much fun flying all manually I forgot about all of the ‘assisted’ modes…
