Hi, has anyone flown their drown (legally) in Stanley Park, Blackpool? According to the map, it is right on the edge of blackpool airport zone, but parts of it are outside. I will try and give the ATC a call if required, but wanted to ask the members on here if they have any experience. I searched this site, but found no answer, so apologies for any possible duplication.
Cheers,

I have flown near Blackpool frz but the other side at Lytham. I rang the ATC as a courtesy they are quite appreciative, especially as there are quite a few low flying aircraft round Blackpool, just make it clear to them where you will be flying and that it’s a courtesy call, and you are not asking for permission. The number is 01253472527

Much appreciated. I’ll give them a call.
Hi,
I’d be very interested to see what they say as I am born & bred from the Fylde area although now living down in Devon, however I regularly go up to visit family.
Last time I went up I had a couple of quiet hours at Cottam Hall Playing Fileds in Poulton-Le-Fylde.
As it happens, I flew there. It was a Sunday morning and poor weather. I didn’t feel a need to contact atc at Blackpool on this occasion.
The drone flew fine but did give me an automatic height restriction of 150’ which I was more than happy with. I was in the vicinity of the boating lake.
Job done, went home.
That’s something you’ve set yourself, in a NFZ your mini will either fly or it won’t
No, I didn’t set anything. A light grey box appeared with a long advisory message. My normal max height is set at 117m and I never adjust it.
Do you have the AirData flight log?, I’d be interested to see it
If you tell me where I can find it, I’m happy to send it.
This is what it showed on the replay on my phone. “Aircraft in altitude zone 150m’
It’s says 150m here, but I’m certain prior to launch it came up with the message I described above. Max height during the flight was 44m which is just about 150’

@milkmanchris seems I was mistaken about 150’ or 150m (It was back in July!) but it shows the height warning popped up several times.
