Storage Voltage for LiHV?

Hi all,

Is the storage voltage for LiHV 3.8 or 3.9?

Thanks!

I store mine at 3.8 :+1:t2:

And me :slightly_smiling_face:

I know this probably sounds really newbie-ish, but how do you know what voltage the batteries are at? Thanks.

Most chargers will read the voltage (providing that its calibrated correctly) or a stand along voltage checker or the most accurate way using a multimeter :+1:t2:

What happens to the batteries if you store them fully-charged or completely flat? Do they deteriorate faster, or isn’t it safe?
Thanks.

It damages the internal chemistry and damages the battery. They become puffy and can cause fire if not cared for correctly. Same result if you over discharge them. I air on the side of caution and tend to land my quads at 3.5v per cell then they generally recover to around 3.7v per cell. Makes it faster to place them into storage voltage when I get home after flying and ensures longevity of the batteries. :+1:t2:

Do a search lipo safety has been covered many many times before :+1:t2: loads of useful info on this forum as well as youtube.
