Sutton Poyntz, Dorset - Added to Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Sutton Poyntz is picture-postcard pretty with a village pub overlooking the duckpond.
The Springhead Pub looks very nice but shrouded by trees making a picture of the front not possible.
The first part of the village name is derived from the Old English words ‘sud’ (south) and tun (farm).

The manor here was held by the Poyntz family from the 13th century.

The Osmington White Horse is close by.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 25/03/2026. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location. Landowner permission may be required before taking off.
