Thanks Pingspike. I’ve looked and my Samsung Galaxy A52s has a 2.4Ghz processor. It’s not top of the range but it’s always been fine with multitasking. I dunno. Have you any idea what kind of cpu would work as a minimum?
No sorry, I’m not familiar enough with Android devices to make any recommendations.
Just remember when choosing a new device:
Based on this though:
You might want to switch from the DJI Fly app to the Litchi app.
Litchi is incredibly lightweight and you might well be able to keep your existing device and run a screen recording quite comfortably at the same time.
It’ll cost you a few quid for a licence but it might be worth a punt if it saves you hundreds of pounds on a new device @Radiognome
Try a few searches on the forum here if you’re unfamiliar with Litchi, there are many threads covering all aspects of its use.
That’s really helpful Pingspike thanks. I’ve got a Gov licence, but does Litchi require another one somehow? I’m a bit worried about switching to another operating system away from DJI, but I’ll research it thanks.
Another option is to try an older version of the fly app
The last Mini 1 update recommended v1.5.1
You can download them from
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/dji-technology-co-ltd/dji-fly/dji-fly-1-5-1-release/
Remember to turn off auto updates in the app to stop it in the background
Just a thought but what is the SD card you are using? Could it be that it isnt fast enough?
