That image that you have is basically fine … but it’s not 2:1 ratio … width to height.
Drop it into Photoshop, or similar, increase the canvas size to add enough space at the top to create the 2:1 ratio, fill the additional space with what ever (clouds, grey sky, blue sky) and then save and upload.
Thanks but maybe @OzoneVibe has found the problem. I’ve put the photos online if it’s still worth a look.
Learning a lot about Panos tonight and looks like I need better image software.
Shared from OneDrive which the forum doesn’t like so had to spell out the bit it objects to.

If you look at the latest version of the test pano, it’s corrected so it’s a 2:1 ratio at the moment with just transparency added using Gimp. I see the point about missing images but ICE auto-cropped it.
I’ll be out again playing with both auto and manual settings to see if I can repeat this 22 photo scene.
In the meantime, I notice Panoee have fixed the View Control setting so I can stop viewers seeing the hacked sky I copied/pasted including visible seams
So I’ve been checking the settings. Autopano asks 1 question, start? The settings option showed 8 columns 4 rows, 28 photos which didn’t sit well in my head. Add 1 nadir and it still said 28.
Playing with the angle, I found that at a certain angle, the maths worked out, 8 x 4 = 32 photos. Change nadir from 0 to 1, drops to 23 photos. Increasing the angle reduces the number of photos.
I’m assuming the number of photos is a combination of the angle, camera, rows, columns and nadir.
Looking forward to going out and taking lots of panos with different settings!
