The Grey Arrows 3rd Annual Birthday Competition and Treasure Hunt

Damn it! Didn’t read that far down. Close but no cigar  thanks :handshake: thank god it’s only 10 mins up the road. Is that my two entries for today done? Or can I submit another now that one is a fail? @GADC_Committee

Brutal

Tons on here with the last date of use… I am onky sharing because none are near me :sweat_smile: there are lots of disused RAF Stations but non with the last usw post 49.

Quick question… does it have to still resemble an airfield? Would the site of a former airfield which has now been redeveloped into offices count, for example?

Hint …

Taken from the red dot at an altitude of 63m
visible are the M6, Westcoast mainline (between Preston and Lancaster) and the Lancaster canal.
I parked on New Lane just before the motorway bridge

As mentioned previously, if it was easy everyone would win!

As long as the criteria are met - it can be completely unrecognisable as an airfield.

Would this includes airfields that were taken over by the RAF during the war and then they move out after the war. The airfield would become a scrapyard for Halifax bombers after they leave?

Q - Was it an RAF Airfield?
Q - Had flying, in ANY form, ceased on/before 31/12/49?

If the answer to both those is Yes, then it is allowed.
