They got me with the Mini 4K

It’s a thing of beauty - check out MK - Creator on YouTube - superb set of tutorials covering basics, advanced, serious RTH functionality and a ton more - all the best👍

Thx - will check that out. That’s a channel I’ve not seen.

First lesson learned tonight… it has a record button. :man_facepalming:

I am soooo used to the recording starting when I arm the drone, I’m going to have to remind myself to hit the button with this one every time!

I’ve given up on FPV and returned to my camera drones. They are more fun. IMHO

I sort of don’t ‘get’; FPV; why would anyone want to go zooming around the place like that when it’s too fast to enjoy the view. The view*, and videoing or photographing it, and the incredible variety of viewpoints that can be accessed in real time, are the entire and only purpose of having a drone, a tripod in the sky, for me. To each his own!

*As my ex-girlfriend Li’l Kaz used to say, ‘There’s always something to see, with a view…’.

…camera drones. Why would anyone plod around the sky at snail’s pace, taking the same old, boring landscape pictures and videos that every flying tripod owner does when you could be experiencing the adrenaline rush of screaming around like a fighter pilot?

As you say, each to their own.

Some people juggle geese.

Each to their own.

It’s a long ongoing balance / agreement / disagreement between drone pilots. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Take the FPV crowd (excuse the description) there are several different types, (racers, freestyle, Bando, etc…)

Then the camera drone crowd, there’s video makers, photographers, landscape, architecture, etc…

In my mind, whatever you enjoy, just do it and keep flying safely.

It’s one of the reasons I love this hobby so much. So many different ‘flavours’ of flying - each and all of which will appeal to different people at different times. :ok_hand:

And like all things in life, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it

I dont like the way those troublesome fpv folks keep crashing into and smashing up our wonderful trees and bushes!!! Destroying all our bird and bug habbitats. Then there’s all that broken plastic to be recycled or put in landfills, and the amount of waste they must generate with all them 3D printing things. I hate them all, they should be burned at the stake after admitting the errors of their ways!!!

No bonfires at the big meet!

Whoa, there, tiger; I said I didn’t ‘get’ FPV and I don’t, just sayin’ that’s all, but that’s not saying that it should be Spanish Inquisition Auto de Fe’d out of existence! Unexpectedly, of course, because nobody expects…

And I’ve started a bit of thread drift as well.

I wasn’t having a dig at your post Mr Johnster, was just having a laugh at the expense of those goofy fpv guys n gals.
I didn’t get it either, until the big meet, and that sneaky @stevesb giving me a shot of his avata thing. I am now thinking of dipping my toes in that pool over on the dark side. They know what they’re up to that lot!!!

Now there’s a point!!! If told my wife that my hobby would lead to to having a 5" she would have no concerns about my spending habbits!!! She’d probably ask me " why stop at 5, dear?"

Once you go there, there’s no going :dotted_line_face:

No, I didn’t think you were except perhaps in a light-hearted banter sense; my response was intended to be taken in that light.

I’ve gone back. Sold my FPV I found it a bit boring. But that’s me. I have been impressed by some of the racers I’ve watched.

Horses for courses.
