This is an interesting video highlighting what seems to be an unusual failure in Mini 4 Pro propellers

Wow, I’ve just checked mine on the mini3 pro. Two are coming adrift… new props in the morning. I think I’ve a spare set in the box… Thanks for the info. Like others I check the body of the blade, but not the tips… Must have flown it the other day with them loose… heck!!!

I read this thread a while back and thought never experienced it myself so a very rare thing.

Until now!!

my 3 year old grandson took his mini 3 pro TOAL a few times, I was talking to my son and my hearing brought my attention to the difference in propeller sound so on inspection notice one of the rubber tip was ripped.

I noticed what he was doing was taking off but going forward and up straight away and clipping the long grass on the way slightly which obviously grass can do this.

This problem has settled down a little as I now remove my propellers before putting the drone in my bag (Lowepro droneguard BP250). But I need to make some sort case for the propellers to stop them separating and me having an easter egg hunt through the sections before I can fly.

Im looking for something to make on my 3d printer.

As a quick and dirty method of keeping my props safe (if I am only putting it away for a few minutes) I use a piece of this to wrap around the body of the drone, and trap the props under it

If it’s being ‘stored’ I use the supplied prop guard
