I’ve asked Mersey Police three times what make / model / weight the drones were over the weekend.

The silence is deafening

I’m obviously either too old & not a Taylor Swift fan, so I had to use google to understand that joke :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Sorry Jason @TheBinman it wasn’t intended as a joke, I was simply highlighting that despite making three requests for information, Mersey Police have not responded to a single one

Make a Freedom of Information request. They have to respond to that.

I wonder if they are not commenting at present as it might be ongoing investigations and no potential charges if any have been brought yet. :man_shrugging:

It is illegal to fly drones, at these heights and over public populated spaces

Plus you wouldn’t want “bad blood” with the police

I guess they’re Never Ever Getting Back Together with their drones.

If you do submit a FOI you’ll probably get a blank space on the response.

several drones this evening being flown above the stadium while around 53,000 people attended

Accidental overflying, I’m sure … :innocent:

Probably not if it’s an ongoing investigation and there are lots of other reasons they wouldn’t be able to release certain information too.
