Hey! I was hoping for any inputs about things I should know in this new scenario I have landed up in. I am working for a series as a production manager and they had a split in crews because of different locations - to which effect I’ve also been asked to assist now in Camera - including Aerials. While I’ll be filming on my Anafi which I am very comfortable with by now - There’s a good chance they’ll be asking me to operate their MP and MP2 as well.
Which leads me to my question - is there someone perhaps who has a bit of experience with both crafts and can tell me any things I need to know about the MP and MP2. I’ve run through a few manuals for the MP2 but I am hoping that people here can let me in on any “major and minor hiccups” I should know about both of them.
The only time I’ve had a flight experience with one of these was while flying with a friend flying his MP in Liverpool (Scarily enough, that only experience was quite scarring because we tried piloting it with just the phone that day and it went haywire when the app hung up - had to manually catch it and release its battery to shut it off).
In brief - looking for things to be wary of!
Thanks a ton!
P.S.
In case this topic is better of on another thread, please let me know!
Hi Harshit
If you want a test drive of my mp1 give us a shout I’m not to far away from you so you can give it a spin before you are asked at work
I’m going to mention @chrisjohnbaker into this thread as he has the MP2 and may be able to give you more advice on differences
the differences are fairly similar from the control side of things.
the main thing I would say is the M2P has the Hassalblad camera, and by putting your finger on the phone screen and dragging l or r up and down it moves the camera in that direction.
It is also a lot quieter that the MP, and has more sensors for collision avoidance.
It definitely is a great drone to fly, and very forgiving.

Haha thanks for the offer Jeff @sparkman999 but i’ve moved back to India for a while now so that won’t be possible ( haven’t changed my address here so the map doesn’t zoom all the way out - read something about that here somewhere. ) I really just want to know if there’s any moody behaviour either of these crafts have

Good to know that. Thanks @chrisjohnbaker! Had zilch idea about the screen controlling the camera orientation!

the other important things is that the Mavic 2 has a switch on the side of the controller (that has to be set up in the settings on the controller) which switches from P mode to Tripod and also Sport Mode.
I’ve heard about the switch, but dont know about having to set it up on the controller? Will give that a check ! Thanks again
