Buchanty Spout is a local beauty spot and hosts its own salmon run. I’ve been popping over at the weekend to try and capture the salmon travelling upstream to spawn. 3 hours of waiting about for something to happen. It’s still quite early in the season, and the river could do with a bit more water in it too, maybe next weekend?

I had to show off my hoody, wearing a Union Flag on your back in some parts of Scotland is like putting a big target there. I have to choose wisely when to wear it and I didn’t think the salmon would care too much!!!
