I doubt that. There’s not a lot of crud in the air.
Now - a laptop fan ….

I found with my mp1,i got lots crud in the fan area, found out i should not be taking off from dusty areas,or long grass…Luckily for me,a blast of compressed air,and use of a landing mat, solved it for me:+1:
Good luck Dave, would be interested to see how long it takes from start to finish?Just so we know what to expect,if we have to do similar,of course it will be different if working on an m2p…
If someone could check their MP (in a warm indoors environment) and let me know how soon the fan starts after they switch the MP on, that would be useful info when I get to test mine. Thanks!
Progress … 26 minutes in.
Replacement slightly different fan type …
Old …
Replacement …
Pausing to see if I can apply power to the old one to check the fault is within the fan rather than the switching circuits / temperature sensors.
Just got to finish putting it together … things were only enough together to power it up.
Glad your “fanny” is working!!
Absolutely!
Test flight tomorrow then?
Later today!
None in mine - never used a landing mat … never really bothered that much about grass/dust if there’s nothing convenient to hand.
eg ….
Thought my laptop was having a laugh at me …. but it’s the default file icon for Adobe PS Elements …. not a “fan” icon!
WOW,quick strip down,am i missing something or is the new fan somewhat different?
Hopefully NOT in the switching circuits!
That hasn’t been changed. On/Off probably means the same to them both.
