# Washington F-Pit museum, Sunderland - Added to Historic Buildings in North East

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

There are not many traces left of the north-east coal mining industry, so Washington F-Pit is worth a look. Sadly it's opening hours are limited, and when it does open the outside area is not usually in play. Enter the drone…  
Free parking is available at what3words: ///being.slang.veal  
The car park is where the F-Pit boilerhouse used to be.  
TOAL from public area adjacent to the museum. Take a look at Albany park while you're there too, it used to be part of the colliery grounds…

_The originator declared that this location was **not** inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 12/09/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location._

There are no parking or take off and landing markers on the map at this location. Could anyone that has flown here or knows the area add some useful markers to the map, please?
