Nah mate, same in USA. Now they WOULD use a drone to check up on employees.
Ive done contract work in Japan and it is indeed true about work hour expectations - “first in, last out” is a daily competition - complete madness.
I DO like some of their tech tho, especially the “eye strain” glasses.
