What’s happening to my pictures? Moiré Patterns

I wondered if anyone could tell me why my drone pics have started taking on this unwanted effect?

Have you tried downloading the original photos to see if the issue is still evident? … as in, checking that the app is doing something strange.

Is there a removeable protective film over the lens?

It does get rid of some of it but why does it not show on other photos that haven’t been downloaded-any ideas?

Thanks for your help

Can you upload one of the full-res images here for more detailed inspection?

No, all is fine with the lens

It’s moiré patterning. Caused by regular patterns.

I was just about to say the exact same thing!

Possibly - but a strange manifestation. It’s why I would like to look at an original image file in detail before deciding.

It’s absolutely a classic example of moiré. Just the one part of the field cut in a different direction.

Can you upload an original image?

I’ve had similar in my hd fpv feed. Isn’t it aliasing for something?

It’s better once the original is downloaded but still there

Absolutely no issues with that. :+1:

Something happening in the app, obviously.

What are you viewing it on? A phone or a computer?
