What would be your perfect drone?

A mavic air style drone, with occusync 2 ,a hasselblad camera with zoom and low noise props, plus 30 mins flight time!!
would be my perfect drone plus of course, a controller with built in screen,or compatible with the not so smart(yet)?? controller.:+1::+1:Almost forgot,a small flamethrower mounted somewhere on the front!!!:rofl:

Something I can sit in so I can sell the goggles.

Yeah on second thoughts. I’m terrified of heights.

One that doesn’t fall out of the sky when the batteries run out …:hatched_chick:

Something as fast and agile as my hornet frame but with the battery life of the dji range.

So doesn’t need all the bells n whistles. Just a power source that doesn’t run out after about 3 mins

Something silent and invisible would suit me.

She’s always blaming me for one of them…despite my pointing at the sparrow…

Some kind of aux battery which keeps the drone connected while I swap out the main battery rather than having to go through the connection process each time. That’d be nice. Could also act a emergency battery thingy giving 5 mins of extra power.

The following would in my opinion set the MP 2 way above the rest of the completion.
I’d have liked the following to have been added…

  1. 60fps 4K with sharper and smoother non-jumpy footage recording.
  2. Larger internal storage… As it stands, the internal storage (Can’t remember its size… 6 or 8GB) is useless for recording to… it lasts minutes, however it seems to provide the best storage with no jumps or skips in the footage.
  3. A low power state that does not require the gimbal and motors to test. This would allow access to the Micro CD card, and parameters of the quad without having to extend the quads arms and remove the gimbal cover every time.
  4. More programmable flight input characteristics which allow customisation of the control responses for each flight mode. For example, turns in Sport mode are unnecessarily sensitive with a little stick input. Expo and turn rate limits would be useful in this case. I’d like to be able to customise each flight mode to my own requirements and to allow smooth footage to be shot.
  5. DJIGo4 Automated / way flights with the ability to fly headless mode. This would allow the user to concentrate on filming complex video while the quad flies its self (like in Litchi).
  6. Flight repeat… you activate flight copy mode… fly the route that you want to take. Then the quad returns to the start point and copies the flight automatically. Great for continuity of video or to improving upon a video shoot. It would allow greater concentration to be focussed on the camera and gimbal operations. A heading copy mode, heading + gimbal copy mode and headless mode would be really useful. It would be like having a separate pilot and gimbal/ camera operator.
  7. For some reason, the flight footage displayed on my Chrystalsky Ultra from the MP2 is not as sharp as from the MP even though the colours are vastly improved and not flat. It would be nice to see this improved. I have checked this with several firmware updates on the Crystalsky and the issue remains. Footage from the SD card appears to be sharp, however on a small screen, they should be pin sharp.

:+1: for #3 … and I’m guessing you mean without any Tx/Rx either … that creates the vast majority of the internal heat needing the fan to kick in.
It would be good if most of a firmware updates could be done in that mode, too, just powering up the modules as and when they need updating.
Having had the fan fail on my MP, and the arse-ache fiddle of replacing, I’d really love that.

You missed out the ability to take pics (RAW/Jpeg) whilst recording video, too … that’s probably the thing I think is most lacking.

Seconded on that! shouldn’t be to hard you can do it with a phone .

With many cameras for some years.
Though, as I mention above, I do understand why it might not be available when recording max bit-rate 4k … when it’s acknowledged that the M2 processor is running at it’s limit.
I guess that too is something that shouldn’t be so marginal to prevent it.
