Not every bird falls for that I can assure you. 
Sure, I am aware that swifts and swallows particularly couldnāt care less about my reflective tape 
But I have had much more positive result with Red Kites - went flying with 8 of those the other day, ALL of which avoided by highly reflective Mini for the hour and half I was there !
Did you get any video or photos of them?
Yeah, Iāve had 'em on the head-cam footage somewhere, but thatāll be long on the cutting room floor by now ! 4K videos and huge file sizes means I end up deleting all but the final mp4 file.
I know what you mean. I must go through an editing phase to reduce what i have accumulated.
Iāve not found that reflective tape made much difference to VLOS. Though perhaps it will help deter birds. Iāve recently bought a strobe light which has made a difference, especially at night.
Iāve now got a floresenct yellow wrap to put on not putting it all on just bit I think will help it stand out a bit also going to put some gold tape on aswell
