Will This Cause Flight Issues? Air 3s

So I noticed today whilst putting my air 3s down that all 4 arms don’t touch the floor/surface at the same time is this normal or will it cause issues?

I posted the other day about it drifting right or left ect when tying to go in a straight line “sometimes” not all the time. Maybe this is related?

Never crashed or dropped whatever is causing this is how it came.

Just had a look at mine and put it on the table - when all the landing bits are on the table I tried to give it a wobble by holding it in the middle and all the arms are all very firmly on the table - when I also put it down like you show one of the rear arms is maybe half a mm or so away from touching when the first rear arm touches the table - but then I am having to assume that the table it 100% flat and true - I did move it around a few times and may or not be truly flat as sometimes its basically both touch at the same time and others its like a papers thickness away - so for me I think its fine - but for you mmm hard to say if there is an issue but there seems to be a bit of play there

But are you not over thinking things and if you do look for problems your likely to find one no matter how small ? :person_shrugging:

Yeah, OK, assuming your surface is completely flat - the first and easiest thing to check - I’d agree with @LE60LAD. I’ve just checked my Air 3S and like his, all the feet sit flush/almost flush; a few tens of microns out rather than millimetres. Maybe it’s nothing, maybe it’s normal variation, or maybe it is the cause of your recent concerns? Is there any play in the airframe, or obvious warping on an arm? My advice would be to contact DJI, whether or not you have care refresh. Is it still under warranty? Speaking to them anyway should reassure you one way or another xx

I don’t have an Air 3S but the above is sound advice.

I have contacted DJI previously for various concerns (e.g. wobbly drone arms, a motor not turning properly, lines on an RC 2 screen) and they are usually very quick to come back and tell you whether something is normal or if it is an issue.

Thank you I actually did contact them yesterday about a few things and whilst I was talking to them I did ask, I sent them the video as well and they asked if it drifts while hovering (which it dosent) They said if it dosent then all is fine and it’s probably just tolerances in the manufacturing.

Just a thought, have you calibrated it ?
