YWT Strensall Common - Added to National Trust in Yorkshire and the Humber

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Once entering the car park you can head either left or straight on, to get onto the large open field head left (so travelling north) and then once in the field you can trail off the track and set up.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 01/11/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Thank you @Aikufurr for adding to the DroneScene map.

Hi, I understood the NT did not allow any flying, anywhere within their land… especially take off and landing…??

@Malcy - the NT will tell you that they own the airspace above their properties - they don’t! As long as you maintain the correct separation distance, you’re good to go.

Take off and land from somewhere nearby i.e. non NT land.

There’s a video coming up (5th Nov) on Geeksvana covering this very subject.

Thanks for the heads up, as I don’t live to far from there thought I might give it a go
