Cockersands Abbey - Added to Iconic Landscapes and Ancient Sites in North West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Cockersand Abbey is a ruined 12th-century Premonstratensian monastery on a headland overlooking the estuary of the River Lune south of Heysham. The abbey was founded in 1180 as a simple hermitage but was raised to the status of a fully-fledged abbey 10 years later in AD 1190. Parking in small layby nearby:

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 20/06/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Thanks for this Bilbo.
Just wondered if you forgot to mention that, although the Abby was founded in 1180 the layby you mentioned wasn’t brought into existence till 1217🤣
