Heysham port - Added to Everything Else in North West

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

You will need clearance from the CAA for a flight here as it's in the restricted area of Heysham Nuclear power station
the form is https://applications.caa.co.uk/CAAPortal/servlet/SmartForm.html?formCode=BAL
You may be required to give 28 days notice to the CAA

you will then need to contact Heysham powerstation security before and after take off

you can park in the car park in Halfmoon Bay carpark which is on the bend of Smithy lane.
Bonus is there is a cafe there

The originator declared that this location was inside a flight restriction zone at the time of being flown. Permission to fly was obtained from CAA, EDF Security. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Lovely area but if you intend to visit the cafe, it’s cash only.

You become only the second person to receive the Radio Active Badge. :+1:

Cheers Dave, I’d forgot about that. Does it glow in the dark and mutate.

Only if you pull out the carbon control rods.

But, on the plus side, it does generate 100 gigawatts for all of 2 seconds. :+1:
