Toomebridge, Lough Neagh - Added to Lakes and Reservoirs in Northern Ireland

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

Toomebridge, nowadays more usually referred to simply as Toome, is a small village on the northwest corner of Lough Neagh in Co. Antrim. It used to be a very busy village as the main crossing point where the River Bann leaves the lough on the main road between Belfast and Londonderry. Since the new 'Toome Bridge' was completed in 2004 the village has reverted to a quiet 'off the beaten track' place. Toome is famous for its fishery, from which Lough Neagh eels are exported all over the world. Around the village there are riverside walks, Lough Beg nature reserve, plenty of free parking, toilets, small shops, cafés and a hotel. A few minutes away by car, for those that like traditional pubs there is The Old Thatch Inn, or, for those that prefer brash and modern, there is The Elk restaurant/bar/nightclub. The new extension to the M22 motorway (A6) makes access to the village easy.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 12/08/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
