So I’ve not been flying recently, no reason just been a bit busy. But I’ve been wanting to try my hand at making hyperlapses with a crazy ultimate end goal of trying to make what I would like to call a super-hyperlapse (basically making many identical hyperlapses of the same place, but taken at varying times, and then editing parts of them all together to result in one clip that seems to span hours/days or even weeks)
I used Litchi with a planned waypoint mission (only 3 waypoints) and set at a really slow flight speed and set to take 1 photo per second. I set one POI for the drone to keep focussed on. Resulted in 398 photos taken over an 11 minute flight, and made into a 6 second video (think I should have chosen 30fps on my timeline instead of 60, but hey, it’s just a 1st attempt on the road)

Just done a quick re-do with the resolve timeline set to 30fps instead of 60fps (just effectively doubled the length of the finished clip)

Yes, took off from the carpark, flight path was mostly along the edge of the water at about 70m height.

Had a break from flying for a bit (no reason, just the way things went) but decided to go out and try another hyperlapse.
This is a combination of 2 successive flights with a total of 1072 photos! Used Litchi waypoints mode. With the 2nd flight I just adjusted the heights of the waypoints and extended the last waypoint to make more use of the battery (1st waypoint flight time was 13mins, 2nd was 16-17mins)
Location is nearby my earlier hyperlapse.
Edited with Davinci resolve studio with mainly just stabilisation applied.

I like all of them, even the man on the lawn mower gets a cameo in the final one. This is something else i need to read up on and learn about, the effect is great
