I am due to film some shots with my DJI mini 3 pro in June in Wendover woods, very close to RAF Halton, I have most permissions but the MOD require me to have 7.5 million Crown Idemnity insurance and I am having great difficulty locating insurance that has this, any pointers would be greatly appreciated
Try the British Model Flying Association for your insurance. It covers Crown Indemnity. Check with them to ensure it covers the level and extent of cover you require.
Why do you need Crown indemnity insurance if you’re TOAL’ing from Forestry England land? Do you intend on flying into the Halton FRZ and over RAF property?
Bit late to the party but was just looking at a Coverdrone policy for myself and reading through the Policy Schedule in the Public Liability section, even if you’ve only selected £1million Public Liability cover, there is also clause which states: Civil use of MOD Airfields - GBP 7,500,000 - Any one Occurrence, so on the looks of things, that would cover you for what you need to fly within the RAF Halton FRZ when you’re at Wendover Woods.
