The new generation M10 GPS’s are so much quicker, I typically get lock in 5-10 secs.
I agree with Steve @stevesb if you’ve got a 4V5 pad use it

That’s very quick for a cold start - what GPS are you using?
Not any particular brand, it’s the fact that it’s an M10
Has better receiver tech, can look at more channels at the same time and uses a super capacitor to store the almanac instead of a crappy watch battery type cell
I’ve got Foxeer and Flywhoo branded ones but I’m pretty sure they all come from the same factory

My walksnail one is a bit iffy. But the foxeer is great.
I use the Walksnail and the Matek M10Q-5883 - the Mateq is maybe a few seconds quicker but they both take nearly 30s from a cold start to get to the required 5 sats.
After that they are quicker (5-10s) - but not sure for how long (few mn, few hours max?) - for sure coming back next day they are going through a cold start cycle again.
Just fitted the gps well impressed with the look and coming together ELRS next just need figure where to put

Due to the lack of stock where are you all getting your 03 / 04 air units from.
