A couple of weeks back we had a short holiday driving through Northern France and Belgium.
Started off with a couple of days in Le Touquet where it chucked it down the whole time. Had good weather the rest of the time but by then we had moved on to Paris so no flying there, and then to Belgium where the rules were too confusing to bother with.
I thought I was going to end the holiday having never even unpacked the drone. But taking a scenic route back to Calais through the countryside we stumbled across the Spinnewyn mill and then went to go and explore the beaches at Dunkirk where there are a lot of WW2 block houses.
As we didn’t have a whole lot of time before our ferry both videos are pretty well just made up of mastercut shot, but I was just happy not to come home empty handed.
Not sure why the panning text is so jumpy, I gave up trying to work that out.
There is a whole battery structure a little further up the coast which would make for a more interesting video than focusing on just one small blockhouse. But we were already pushing our luck with how much time we had to get back to Calais to catch our ferry. Something for next year perhaps.
