But the dji drones mini 2 and mavic air 2 are pretty much the same thing one is just smaller. I have had a bit of time with the mini2 aswell

just an update - because it was still under warranty, I sent it back to DJI; they have tested it and found it to be faulty (gimbal axis module) and are repairing it free of charge
“This message is from DJI Support. After testing your product, DJI has determined to provide you with free repair service. The repair is expected to be finished within 2 to 3 business days”

Yea pretty much how mine went, but glad ur gettung it sorted
