drones are allowed or should i say unlike the kelpies there are no signs saying no drones, on photo dji 0020hdr. on the embankment on the right hand side you see a path that leads to the bushes if you zoom in you will see where i am , i chose there as i was away from everyone and can 100% focus on flying.
The kelpies i actually crossed the canal and took off below the power lines as its not helix ground, there is a no fly signs at the kelpies

Great shots. Built by Butterley Engineering near me, one of the oldest British companies founded in 1790 and built some great heavy engineering. Sadly, like a lot of our industry now no longer exists. I think this will come to bite us in the bum if the world situation goes tits up. Russia, Ukraine is a good example.

Was at the Falkirk wheel yesterday and flew my Drone, was great to fly around that area.

Flew from millennium-wheel-drive last night , foolishly tried to fly though the hoops, [Flight Data](Aug 3rd, 2023 07:41PM | General / Overview | Litchi log 4.26.4-g | United Kingdom | Airdata UAV , decided was a bad idea and started to rise , must not have been fully through as hit something on rise. Drone is now stuck somewhere. Was sending picture , claiming sensor errors and shaking so not in water.
Phoned the issue in to Scottish Canals - who told me drone flying is NOT allowed at the wheel. Hopefully is found and returned none the worse for ware .
From looking @ @jaybee pictures I suspect it to be stuck somewhere near the ladders shown on picture 0075
Relieved - found , hopefully OK, collecting Saturday.
