A tourist's brief views of Cromer, Norfolk

Only there for a couple of weeks with the drone kept out of the air due to the wind and rain. But I did fly it enough to put this little video together.

I enjoyed this. Was there a few months ago, but only flew around the lighthouse. Back again in November, so fingers crossed I can fly similar to you.

Thanks for the comment Ian. All I can say is watch out for the seagulls when flying near the pier. I had the drone’s camera on full zoom so it could stay further out to avoid them.

I was talking to some friends yesterday and they suggested the lighthouse as one of the next things to fly near, so that is on my list for when I get back there.

The seagulls do worry me, I must admit. Did you know about the peregrine falcons that nest in the church tower? I watch them on the webcam which is set up every year.

I was able to 3d print a model of the lighthouse from my video footage.

I did put a drone up around the church last year, but because I had only just started flying a drone, my skills weren’t that good. I couldn’t fly there again this year due to the windy weather whenever we happened to be in Cromer town centre. Maybe next time we’re there I’ll have more luck.

I did know about the peregrines and to be fair, they didn’t bother with the drone as it flew around the church tower, but again I did keep the drone quite a distance away. Also worrying when filming the church is all the pigeons that also nest there.

I like the idea of 3d printing a model of the lighthouse.
