Air 2s dead pixels on photos

@gothi Ok this makes sense, it looks like the Photo app on Mac doesn’t remove those “hot” pixels by default so I will have to switch to a more pro based editing program for better editing facilities. At least there are no dead pixels to worry about from the camera.

@OzoneVibe & @SirGunner I obviously need to up my game and get proper editing software!

I am curious as to why some of the images show hot pixels in the same place, but as long as they are easily fixable it’s not a big deal.

what about “comatose” pixels… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This is a lot more than just “hot” pixels getting into your processing.

That’s something rather damned weird. :man_shrugging:

Ah yes something different I agree… I wonder if that changes depending on the export settings in Apple’s photo app…

No idea where it’s occurring … but whatever is causing it might be the cause of some of the other coloured artefacts, be they initiated by some pixel (hot/dead/zombie). :stuck_out_tongue:

Zombie Pixels. There’s a term that needs to be introduced to common parlance,
:zombie:

(You probably know this already but) in digital cameras, particularly at high ISO speeds on dark scenes, there is more “image noise”, manifesting itself as randomly speckled pixels.
