One of my batteries for my air 3s has decided to die and stop charging. I’ve reached out to DJI and they sent me a repair request link.
I put in the battery serial number, but it just brings up the 3s on the form. I detailed the issue was only one battery but at the bottom of the page it recommends I send back the “complete set of the product”.
Does this mean they want everything included in the fly more combo, or just the controller, drone and batteries/charger? Everything but one battery works perfectly fine so I’m a bit surprised they want more than that
Also does anyone know how long the process is likely to take? I have a few flights planned now that the weather is good and I don’t want to be without the drone for long
I’d call them up & explain, they don’t ( to the best of my knowledge ) usually ask you to return faulty batteries ( more so if there swelling up tho ) so I maybe wrong, usual process when battery is faulty or swollen is, they get you to do a video of you submerging the battery into a bucket of salt water submit the video to them then they replace if under warranty,
Was this through live chat ? However id still give them a call just to double check on what you mentioned above.
Gave them a ring and they said to just send the battery itself back, so I’ll package it up and get it sent. Glad I don’t need to be without the drone!
Cheers for the advice @Kirky
Edit: they’ve sent a DPD label for it but DPD apparently won’t ship batteries according to their site
I think new and unused batteries are fine from a shop/manufacturer, but if you’re posting them yourself it says prohibited here: DPD | Prohibited Items | Post Office
