Alexandra Park - Added to Parks and Recreation in London

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission not required.

TOAL from the field across the road, or on footpath. I did take off and land from the grounds, as the website does state that this is a public accessible and funded place. Security tried to stop me, but I did carry on, but if anything, just take off and land from across the road. I parked in the car park I the Palace, which cost me about £5 for the day.

The views of the Palace and of London in the distance, are absolutely stunning here.

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 12/04/2024. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Hi @A51FR3D, it looks as though you’re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:

Does Harringay council have Bylaws on drone flying especially at Alexander palace ? I know some London councils have restrictions but manly over 250g drones. Large heavy drones

Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust have a policy, no Bylaws.

Haringey Council do not own the park as such.

Thank you for that

They do have a policy on the trust for drone flying.. Pretty strictly on rules on drone flying ( Drone policy Nov 2018. Updated ) so the question is can I TOAL from Alexander Palace way Which is public Accessible. Due to cars, buses , walkers, cyclists ect as I presume the road part of the trust . I see it in places you can fly on here . So presume it ok ???

It’s publically accessible but it’s not maintained at public expense. At the end of the day it’s a policy and not a bylaw. Worst they can say is please can you leave if confronted.
