Amazing views at the Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye

Amazing autumn weather afforded a 3 TOAL flight of the Storr from Loch Fada, Loch Leathan and from the Coffee shop - sadly shut for the winter - Car Park opposite the Stor Car Park - which meant I saw no ‘No Drone’ signs anywhere, and the area has no FRZ - the SSSI is for the rock formations, so as long as you dont crash then you are ok…

Another area of inspiration for JRR Tolkien when writing the Hobbit and the LOTR, reflected with in the choice of music…

Fantastic! I remember being there many years ago - though the weather wasn’t anything like as good :slightly_smiling_face:.

The distance views complement the rocks really well and the light was great. I particularly liked the part with the old man in shadow about half way through, and the fade at the end.

Thanks Adrian, appreciate the comments… It is an amazing place, and the weather was just stunning that day, especially for the time of year…

How strange, just watched a vid on YT, 10 best places to visit in Scotland, and there it was Man of Storr and TBH your capture did it more justice :+1:

I think your videos are excellent Suzanne but I’m sure its all CGI as on the numerous times Ive been to Scotland I’ve never had weather like you have.

Lol, what can I say, the sun shines on the extremely fortunate… I am sure that our run of amazing weather for Scotland trips must one day end, I am hoping to pop up to see friends for a couple of nights - and drop off Yule presents - in the wek before Xmas, assuming the weather allows the trip to happen…

Then we are back to Blairgowrie in April, for a week, and Skye in June, I am sure the weather won’t be as good on every trip, we have just been extremely lucky and take full advantage of the good days when we get them - I have flown 9 locations in a day before now…
