The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 03/01/2022. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.
The Canal and River Trust, don’t allow TOAL from the canal side towpaths ( unless you’re part of a film crew and have paid to do so). Nothing to stop you flying your drone over if you TOAL from public land. ( they still seem to think they own the airspace over the canals, a bit like NT )
I’ve been walking the local canals every day for the last eleven years (just over 10,000 miles walked now), I’m still yet to see a single employee in all that time / distance.
You’ve got better odds of winning the lottery than you have of being quizzed by a Trust employee
I don’t doubt that anyone could/ would stop you. I’ve flown down at our local canal before. If you check on their website, you’ll find their statement re flying drones and filming. As I said previously, they take a similar approach to the National Trust. They don’t seem to realise the free publicity they’d get
