I just might have to bite the bullet and travel north to attend this some time in the future! I’ve never been to Blackpool and, therefore, have never seen either the Tower and/or the illuminations! Not a fan of the cold though being a Southern Softey

We went last year, and did the lit up tram down. The tram windows were filthy, it was such a shame. I’m 35 now, so 30 years ago when I went with my parents, they were so much better. More moving structures, all of the bulbs worked. It’s such a shame, as it is a big memory of my childhood, and @Foley Russ had never seen them either.

Same here, going on the tram, seeing all the lights and then trying to sleep in a tiny B&B room with my grandparents snoring like chainsaws
