Memories of âthe Jolly Boysâ Outingâ springs to mind, great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for your comments.
Good results on a misty murky sort of day that I wouldnât have considered good for filming. I need to get out and fly more, even when it isnât sunny, donât I?
Try a night flight, get some fireworks
The problem with sunny days is the sun maybe shinning but the wind is howling.. Get out there. My problem, I live in the Solent airport red zone, canât even fly in the garden
Same with me, I have 2 small airports where I live, need to go 5 miles to get out the the NFZâs
I can fly legally from my patio but I donât think I would. Iâve got open spaces in parks a short walk away and am a bit concious of bothering the neighbours, the noise issue, and invading privacy. And there are VLOS-interrupting trees, posts, telephone cables and all sorts of obstacles. I suspect most urban pilots have the same issues, certainly inner-city denizens like me!
FRZ
Although I have always found Sherburn and East Leeds (Church Fenton to me and you) to be very accommodating
I know but I also have someone local that no matter if I get permission, always complains if I share a video
Karen Facebook no doubt
Given your background, yorkie, this sounds to me a lot like bullying, and having suffered at their hands I donât like bullies at all. My advice would be to fly (with permission) anyway and ignore the complaints, perhaps calling the person out on his/her behaviour in the comments with your posted videos, but I appreciate your need to avoid confrontation. As the abuse is consequent to your posting videos rather than being âon the groundâ face-to-face distractive interference confrontation when you are flying (which is something you might be able to bring the police in on), it is the more pernicious and cowardly. And harder to defend yourself against. Some people are just plain scum, and, sadly, scum tends to rise to the top, and call itself creamâŚ
Or avoid Facebook
Was on YouTube one of them, I donât share vids on FB
Well said that man. At the end of the day, the air above any property is covered by the CAA. So long as you are not spying on your neighbours gardens, just keep flying and enjoy
Love the video - so much better than my recent feeble attempt. I note you didnât feature the Turner. Any particular reason?
No, I ment to but had to return home. Maybe next time.
