Ive just come back from Colico on lake como in the north of Italy. I took my Mini 3 pro with no problem and used https://www.d-flight.it/ to know wher to fly and at what hight you can fly too in restricted areas. All went well

It is such a lovely place especially this time of year when it is not very busy during the week. You still get the Italian families doing their traditional walks on sunday which can be very busy.
