@Typhoon7 Love the video especially the autumn colours of the leaves.

Thanks - I got lucky in one shot just as a gust of wind brought down leaves like snow as I was filming a waterfall. I’ll take it!

You know you’re totally cheating having such stunning landscapes and colours on your doorstep, don’t you?

I agree - I don’t make the scenes, I just point the cameras! Highland Perthshire in autumn is a sight to see, I mean a real sight to see. The large forests, lochs and mountains with some of the most stunning waterfalls anywhere I’ve seen in the UK just make autumn a photographer’s dream.

I’d strongly recommend any of you to pack your drones and cameras and come to Loch Earn, Loch Tay, Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch. The Tay Forest Park. The Griffin Forest and Schiehallion, the Hermitage at Dunkeld for some giant trees and a beauty of a waterfall. Anywhere around Crieff and Comrie too. And absolutely save a day for Glen Lyon - wow.

Much of my Flickr photostream has images from these parts. If anyone is interested :

I can advise on good spots if it helps.

The castle at 3:30, is that near Crieff?

hi, what glorious colours. Nicely put together. I’m aching to get up there and do some Munroes at this time of year. Autumn is my favourite season. Maybe next year!

Yes that’s Drummond Castle near Crieff. Same place on the previous shot rising up showing the castle nestled in the trees. The tree-lined avenue before that is the drive up to it.

Yes make it a plan. There is endless material up here. I live here and every weekend in every season has opportunities. A mountain, Glen, Loch, river, waterfall or forest to explore.

To be honest it’s also why getting the Air 3S was a no brianer. The majority of the time I fly in remote places a long way from buildings let alone the mandatory 150m. Last weekend I was about 4 miles from the nearest building… The Mini 4 Pro is still so useful though.

I asked for permission to fly there last year. They said no of course. I dont normally ask permission, but it cant be done (legally) without flying from their land. Time for another visit? Possibly even another mini meet?

Mini meet sounds good. I’ll happily coordinate something this end if there’s enough interest. Can recommend hotels and plan a route round some lochs, glens and sites?

A day trip would be good at this time of year? I stay just outside Perth so not too far from me, we should maybe start a new thread in the meet ups section, try to get something sorted before winter!!!

OK perfect. (Sorry I thought you were down south - got confused with another comment earlier.)
