I have been trying to capture the autumn colours amid this eternal anticyclonic gloom we seem to suffering from, in the South of the UK at least. My latest attempt taken at the site of the Meon Valley Railway which opened in 1903 and closed in 1968, part of the route now encompasses the Meon Valley Trail which runs 11 miles from West Meon in Hampshire.

A (moderately) frequent walk of mine - parking at the Wickham end the first half is a long, gentle, uphill walk (train gradient - nothing over ambitious) - the excellent Thomas Lord pub for refreshment at the West Meon end, and then the gently downward walk back to the car.
