Having obtained permission from the MOD Low Fly Team to fly in this area (at a specified time) I wanted to fly up the burn and capture the snow atop the peaks, but the weather wasn’t quite playing ball.
Sunshine at the bottom, and snow/sleet/rain coming in as I topped the ascent - I had my strobes on so we could maintain VLOS.
Still, it made for some dramatic and interesting footage, showing the transition from autumn to winter as altitude increased.
Perhaps a bit different to my usual video, but I think it works…
Thanks hon, I would have loved to AVATA the waterfalls too, but we were running out of time on that day and had to get to the Bealach na Ba while we still had the light…
Thanks hon, yeah, if we had more time - and the rain had stopped - then I would have AVATA’d it, but we were on a tight time schedule with flying scheduled with the RAF Low Fly unit…
