Autumn's First Kiss - Knypersley Woods

The final video from Knypersley Woods, this time looking at the curious through cave and the first signs of autumn in the trees themselves…

Hints of autumn are colouring the trees, the first leaves have fallen, and the weather is starting to turn, Autumn’s first kiss is upon us…

Wandering around a woodland I frequented as a child, having already filmed Warder’s Tower and Gawton’s Well I knew there was more to explore, the through cave and lonesome standing stone between Gawton’s Well and Gawton’s Stone - glimpsed in the penultimate shot of the video - called to me… A short AVATA flight up through the cave, and some close-in flying of the flora allowed me to share the ambience…

Perhaps a little bit of whimsy, perhaps nothing of great import to others, but it was something I felt I needed to make…

Thanks… I like to get in close, and to try and show another viewpoint, this was just an idea and an opportunity that came together and seemed to work well enough

The drone flight I did the other day was low level in gusty winds at rooftop height, I just about got enough footage for the clients video
The sun also kept coming out and disappearing behind clouds, so had to land and change ND filters several times
The video was edited in Davinci resolve and will post on grey arrows later this week when time allows

Nice flying and location. I would have been nervous not hitting something there. I assume you’re watching the camera and not the drone for those shots?

Thanks… yeah, I was flying the AVATA, so I am using FPV goggles… Hubby acted as my spotter to ensure I stayed as safe as possible…
