Quick trip to Doncaster Racecousre with @Howard78 and @paulmouncer for the Avata 2’s first proper flights.
Great fun, very controllable even with the DJI love toy controller.
Straight from the SD card, no filters no edits. Just a simple title and fade at the end done in FCPX

I saw how much quicker it was with the “love toy” than the OG a few weeks ago, when had a play, lovely with that, and the video quality… Christmas present for end of year for the O4’s (though I’m sure will need a new set of goggles for that one), they’ve upped their game again with the onboard recording, O3’s good, but that footage, ace!
I had a fly with @milkmanchris 's yesterday. Needless to say I was impressed and expect to see this in my lineup in the not too distant future.
Well that if other expenses would stop happening to me

I was at a wedding recently with someone who’s just got one of these (Sadly, he didn’t bring it with him!)
He was describing the controls using the erm… love toy and it just sounded… weird. Something about tilting the controller actually yaws (when stationary) and there is no independent ‘tilt’? However looking at the video it’s clearly mixing tilt and yaw in the turns. I asked him about this and he said ‘oh - you just point the circle where you want it to go’
Is this in safe / beginner mode or something? I am tempted - but I’d want to fly it with sticks. Also… when he told me the weight of it!
If you have flown any sort of flight sim then the love toy is just like using any thrustmaster joystick from the late 80’s onwards.
Pass on that one, I clicked through beginner mode ;o)
The sales talk is as good as the loads of videos on the subject
Or less sales and more real life from Captain Drone
